David Luiz faced questions from Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness during Chelsea's title celebrations

There were plenty of smiles on the Stamford Bridge pitch as David Luiz spoke to Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Graeme Souness.

Luiz's return to Chelsea from Paris St-Germain for £30m raised some eyebrows at the start of the season, but the defender has answered his critics with a number of impressive performances in their title-winning campaign.

Chelsea's success has been in part down to their 3-4-3 formation, which has seen Luiz operate in the middle of the back three.

Speaking on the pitch during Chelsea's title celebrations, Souness said to Luiz: "You have had an outstanding season, first time around we remember you for maybe making some mistakes. This time around, I can't think of any mistakes you've made, and I think that's because you were in the middle, do you agree?"

To which Luiz simply replied, "I don't agree", leaving both Neville and Carragher in fits of laughter.

Chelsea were handed the Premier League trophy at Stamford Bridge following their 5-1 victory against Sunderland.

However, Luiz did go on to elaborate, saying: "My position is to cover everybody and to be the guy to help the person who made the mistake.

"You can put things in a positive or negative way. In the past I had many amazing games, but there was potentially one little mistake.

It was then Carragher's turn to ask the questions, and he opted to single out Neville as one of Luiz's critics - but this simply led to an embrace between the current Chelsea defender and former Manchester United captain.

"Do you think when you first came here, some of your critics - Gary Neville - understood you as a player?" Carragher asked.

Luiz replied: "I think with the criticism, you can improve. It can make you even stronger. So this day, is the best answer I can do."
