Midfielder not looking to move to the Premier League

Premier League target Scott Brown wants to stay at Celtic, insisting he is enjoying playing for the SPL champions. Portsmouth have been linked with a £9million move for the midfielder following the sale of Lassana Diarra to Real Madrid. Other English clubs are also rumoured to be interested in the Scotland international, who joined the Bhoys from Hibernian 18 months ago. But Brown has confirmed that he is not looking to quit Parkhead during the January transfer window as he focuses on his Celtic commitments.

Looking forward

"I'm a Celtic player and I'm enjoying it just now," said Brown in the Daily Record. "I want to keep that going. I'm enjoying winning games and looking forward to the future." Brown also revealed that the chance to play regularly in the UEFA Champions League is a key factor behind his happiness at Celtic. "That's the main thing," he added. "Everybody wants to play European football. "We were a bit disappointed we didn't go further this season in the Champions League, but there is always next year."
