Lyon forward unaware of Portsmouth interest

Sidney Govou has insisted there is no truth in rumours linking him with a switch to Portsmouth. The Lyon striker's future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks and Pompey have been credited with an interest. Tony Adams is known to want a new forward and reports have suggested that Govou has already turned down an offer from the Premier League club. Govou has rubbished talk of a move to Fratton Park but has refused to rule out the possibility of an exit from Lyon. He admits he would be tempted by Paris St Germain, although at the moment he is staying focused on playing well for Lyon. "Portsmouth? I don't know where that rumour came from," he told France Football. "As I don't have any agent anymore, there are a lot of rumours. The day something will really happen, I will talk. "PSG? I have always stated it is a club that attracts me. "Could I leave Lyon this winter? I would like to say no, but if tomorrow a club comes and would attract me, people would call me a liar. "You can't plan everything, above all in my situation, I have just one-and-a-half years remaining on my contract."

Concern

Lyon are top of Ligue 1 but they have been less dominant than in previous seasons, with Bordeaux and Rennes both in contention for the title. Govou is concerned about Lyon's form, adding: "The players have changed and the states of minds are different. "You can't create an atmosphere in a changing room. Unity either exists or not. In our team it doesn't exist. "Compared to what we have done in the past, clearly we don't play so well. Why? I don't know."
