West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed his interest in Paris St Germain striker Peguy Luyindula.

Baggies chief also confirms Makukula interest

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed his interest in Paris St Germain striker Peguy Luyindula. Luyindula has been linked with a possible move to The Hawthorns after struggling to hold down a regular place in the PSG side this season. Mowbray is keen to bolster his attacking options to help West Brom avoid relegation and he admits French international Luyindula is on his list of targets. "I think Luyindula is a player who's been mentioned with a few different clubs," said Mowbray. "I think it's probably coming more from Paris who are looking to maybe move him on, but he's a player we've talked about and looked at. "I would have to put it down at this moment as just another player, another name to put down as speculation."

Interest

Mowbray also confirmed the club are looking into the possibility of signing Benfica striker Ariza Makukula. Makukula has travelled to England for talks over a possible loan move and Mowbray is set to assess the Portugal international's fitness before deciding whether or not to follow up his interest. "Makukula is coming over but there is a long way to go before anything is sorted," added Mowbray. "Regarding his fitness, he hasn't played for a long time and there's also the financial side of things."
