Redknapp eager to send Gunter out on loan
Alan Hutton is closing in on a first-team return for Tottenham Hotspur as Harry Redknapp prepares to send Chris Gunter out on loan.
Scotland international Hutton has been sidelined since November due to a foot injury and was expected to be out for five months.
However, the right-back is due to return to full training in a fortnight and Redknapp is looking forward to having Hutton back in his plans.
"Alan is on his way back - it's good news," said Redknapp in the News of the World.
"He's a couple of weeks away from full training."
Meanwhile, Redknapp admits he is keen to send teenage full-back Gunter out on loan to build up his first-team experience.
The Wales international has not featured in the Premier League since October and has been linked with a loan move to Queens Park Rangers.
Redknapp said: "It would do him good to go out on loan, but he is a young player who we hope has got a big future here."
