Arsene Wenger has backed Lukasz Fabianski after his blunders in the FA Cup semi-final by insisting he can become the best goalkeeper in the world.
The Arsenal shot-stopper, in for the injured Manuel Almunia, had a 24th birthday to forget on Saturday as Chelsea secured their place in the FA Cup final where they will face Everton.
With Arsenal leading 1-0 thanks to a Theo Walcott strike the Polish ace was beaten at his near-post to allow Florent Malouda to equalise.
Then with just six minutes remaining Fabianski had a rush of blood to the head and came charging out to meet the onrushing Didier Drogba. The Ivorian coolly rounded the keeper before slotting home into an empty net.
But Wenger still has faith in the former Legia Warsaw man and reveals that he has high hopes for his current No.2.

"I won't put too much responsibility on Fabianski. It would be unfair," said Wenger.
"I firmly believe he will be one of the greatest keepers in the world because he has the talent.
"He's intelligent, brave and very good technically. He was not at his best and you have to accept that can happen to anyone.
"It happened to Petr Cech on Tuesday."
