Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen says he expects to play in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper has played in the competition this season despite losing his place in the Premier League side to Asmir Begovic.
Sorensen continued between the sticks for the semi-final demolition of Bolton at Wembley and is expecting manager Tony Pulis to stick with him against City.
"Of course I expect that. You can't be sure until you are actually there but that is what I expected before the semi - that I am going to continue to play in the FA cup regardless of how far we make it," he told
sporten.tv2.dk.
"So that is something that I am pretty sure of and really expecting."
Denmark stalwart Sorensen's future is uncertain but Pulis is hoping the experienced keeper will remain at the Britannia beyond the end of the season.
Sorensen admits Stoke's 5-0 rout of the Trotters on Sunday was slightly unexpected, but is confident his team can cause an upset in the final.
"Of course it is a little bit surreal. We had expected a closer game," he remarked.
"Before kick-off you could see that everyone was determined that this is a chance that we don't want to miss."
He added to
DR Sporten: "We are unbelievably happy - this is the first time Stoke are in a final.
"It is a boyhood dream to be in goal in a final. We are underdogs but if we deliver something close to what we did today (Sunday) we will give Manchester City a tough game.
"Anything is possible in football, and a chance like this might never happen again. We will give everything on 14th May."
