Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan is happy to pass up a sunshine break in favour of plotting the club's survival bid.

Villa moved out of the bottom three with last weekend's victory over West Ham and Guzan admits the win has given the squad a real boost. "It was a massive result for us to get three points on Sunday, and now there's a bit of an extra skip in the step around the training ground with the lads," added Guzan. "We know the hard work is not finished, there is still a lot of football to be played and we have to continue to progress, but with the players that we have I don't see why we can't do that. "Any time you get a result, whether it's Sunday or the beginning of the season, it makes for an easier Monday morning. "You can't get ahead of yourselves, it's one result and a good performance, but it's something that we have to build on. "We can't be happy to settle for that. Now it's time to climb the ladder again."
