Sheffield Wednesday have made a £3m bid for Watford forward Fernando Forestieri, according to Sky sources.

The striker is yet to feature in the Premier League for Quique Sanchez Flores' side this season and has only played in their 1-0 Capital One Cup defeat to Preston North End on Tuesday.

Former Italy U21 international Forestieri scored five times last season as Watford finished second in the Championship to claim automatic promotion.
