Reo-Coker happy to stay put

Nigel Reo-Coker insists he is happy to still be at West Ham United.

Nigel Reo-Coker insists he is happy to still be at West Ham United, despite interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Both The Gunners and The Red Devils are understood to have made enquiries just days before last week's transfer deadline.

The England Under-21 captain had a hugely successful Premiership campaign last season and that led to the interest from United and Arsenal.

Despite the arrival of Argentine Javier Mascherano into their midfield, West Ham did not entertain the idea of letting the 22-year-old depart.

Reo-Coker insists he is not letting the speculation get to him.

"It is part and parcel of the industry I am in," Reo-Coker told Sky Sports' Soccer AM.

"That's football and there is going to be speculation and situations that happen.

"But I am still a West Ham player and am happy to be here and looking forward to tomorrow's game [against Aston Villa]."

Aston Villa's trip to Upton Park is this week's Super Sunday showdown and you can watch it live on Sky Sports 1.
