Park Ji-sung could return to the Manchester United squad for the pre-Christmas game against Everton.

Midfielder to be back in the fold in a fortnight

Park Ji-sung could return to the Manchester United squad for the pre-Christmas game against Everton. The South Korean midfielder has been sidelined since the end of March after suffering a knee injury against Blackburn Rovers. He was due to reappear in club colours for a reserve game against Newcastle United last week, only for the fixture to be postponed. However, Park is close to full fitness and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson feels he could be in his plans for the 23rd December clash with Everton at Old Trafford. "Ji-sung Park is now training with the first team and should be ready in a couple of weeks," Ferguson told Manchester United Radio. "He'll be back in the fold in about two weeks' time, I think."

Terrific

Prior to his injury, Park had scored five goals in his previous five Premier League appearances and Ferguson is looking forward to the player's return. He added: "He's a terrific young player and his return will be a great boost for us. "He gives us more options going forward, which is good news."
