Edwin van der Sar believes it is still a 'three-horse race' for the Premier League title and wants Manchester United to stay three points clear of Chelsea before the trip to Stamford Bridge.
United saw their lead at the top whittled down to three points over the weekend after a 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough came 24 hours after Chelsea had won at Manchester City.

Sky Sports 1, and Van der Sar does not believe the Gunners are out of the equation, despite being six points off the pace.
Van der Sar is hoping the draw at Boro will turn out to be an important point and is expecting a nail-biting climax to the Premier League season.
Very tight
"A draw is not bad, but losing was out of the question," Van der Sar told
MUTV. "We want at least a three-point difference between us and them before we go to Stamford Bridge.
"The boss has already said it's going to be very tight - it's a three-horse race.
"Arsenal visit on Sunday, but Chelsea have a difficult run-in and it's not certain that they'll win all their games between now and the end of the season.
"We'll only know the answer as to whether it was a good point won at Boro in five games' time. I think it was an important equaliser."
Missing Vidic
The Dutch keeper also acknowledged that United missed the commanding presence of Nemanja Vidic in the draw at the Riverside.
Vidic suffered a knee injury against Roma and will be out for at least another week, while Rio Ferdinand could miss the next two matches with a bruised foot.
Van der Sar added: "It's no coincidence we had a few problems with Vidic out. Of course we miss him, he's a very important player."
