United goalkeeper sees Sixfields loan extended

Northampton Town have extended the loan stay of Manchester United goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler by an additional month. The German youngster was brought to Sixfields in November as Cobblers boss Stuart Gray secured reinforcements before the loan deadline. Zieler saw Northampton extend his stay at the beginning of January and the League One club have now reached a further agreement with United. The 19-year-old is set to stay with Gray's men until at least 25th February after United granted the teenager permission to stay. Zieler has mainly been used as back-up for first-choice shot-stopper Chris Dunn, but he will hope for the opportunity to shine.
