Chelsea man feels Eboue tried to hurt Terry

Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou believes Emmanuel Eboue deliberately tried to injure John Terry. Terry is set to be sidelined for around six weeks after Chelsea confirmed on Monday he had broken three bones in his right foot. The damage was done in a challenge with Eboue during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, which forced Terry from the pitch late in the first half. Kalou felt at the time that his fellow Ivory Coast international was lucky not to be sent off, but he has thanked Eboue for his apology. "I said to Eboue he should have got a red card because he did it on purpose," Kalou told The Sun. "He denied that. He said he tried to block the ball and it was not on purpose. He said sorry to John. "He said he didn't mean to do it and to apologise was a nice thing to do." Kalou accepts it will be hard for Chelsea to sustain their Premier League title challenge without Terry. "John will be a big loss and is very important to the squad," he explained. "We will miss him and it will be difficult to do it without him but we have the players to do that."
