Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says his side deserved their dramatic 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace after fighting back from a goal down with 10 men.
Klopp's side were behind just after the half-time interval after Joe Ledley's strike, and their task became even harder when James Milner was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 62nd minute.
But Liverpool fought back after Alex McCarthy's slip allowed Roberto Firmino to equalise, before substitute Christian Benteke scored a last-minute penalty to seal all three points.
"It's well deserved," Klopp told Sky Sports. "After an intensive period, we played really well against a well-rested team.
"We were not clear enough in the first-half and again we conceded the goal after three chances to clear. We didn't do too well.
"We had to strike back with 10 players and it was brilliant what we did."
Liverpool's winner came from a controversial penalty which saw Benteke go down in the penalty area after minimal contact from a Damien Delaney challenge, but Klopp believes the correct decision was made.
"I've seen it in the dressing room and it was a penalty," Klopp said. "It's an unlucky situation for the defender but his knee hit his foot. That's how it is.
"It's a clear penalty because Christian would have been in a very clear position to shoot. Then 2-1 and it's a perfect day."
Liverpool played the final 28 minutes with 10 men following Milner's red card and Klopp admitted he took some risks with his formation, but praised his side's passion after they completed a comeback victory at Selhurst Park.
"We changed the system," Klopp added. "We went 3-4-2 and that's what we tried. It was a little bit risky on the right side. Dejan Lovren had to deal with the winger and the full-back.
"Adam Lallana is of course a very offensive player on the left but at this moment you have to try something. The rest is passion.
"Offensively it's not a problem. You don't need 11 players to play well in attack, it's a problem defensively. In defence you always need more passion than formation.
"It's a big moment for us. You have to fight for it and we fought for it."
