This is certainly the Anfield atmosphere Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would have hoped for.
Thousands of Liverpool fans lined the streets to give Klopp and the players a rousing welcome ahead of their crucial Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal.
A passionate Anfield atmosphere inspired Liverpool in their dramatic 4-3 comeback win over Borussia Dortmund in the last round and Klopp urged the club's fans to replicate that support against the La Liga side.
"If we can create - with our game - a similar atmosphere as we did against Dortmund, then it will be much more difficult for Villarreal than they imagine in this moment. That is how it is," Klopp said.
And the Reds faithful delivered, cheering their heroes on to an impressive 3-0 win on the night. That sealed a 3-1 aggregate victory and a place in the final against Sevilla in Basel on Wednesday, May 18.
