Adam Lallana targets further improvements after Liverpool's "close to complete performance" during Wednesday's 3-0 win at Middelsbrough.
Lallana scored two goals and set up another for Divock Origi as Jurgen Klopp's men shrugged off their recent dip in form to pick up three vital points at the Riverside.
But the former Southampton star believes his side are capable of further improvement as they head towards Monday night's derby clash with Everton, live on Sky Sports.
"It was not too far off the complete performance - but the manager has already quickly said to us that there are things we can improve on," said Lallana.
"At times we can maybe get a little bit carried away and all of us maybe want to attack at times when we need to protect a bit more.
"We trust what the manager says so I'm sure over the next few days we'll have a look at the performance, recover well and get ready for Everton on Monday night."
Liverpool's performance was all the more impressive for the continued absence of Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who has been sidelined since injuring his ankle during his side's 2-0 win over Sunderland on November 26.
And Lallana believes his eventual return will give his side even greater hope of closing the gap to Premier League leaders Chelsea.
"Any team is going to miss Philippe," insisted the 28-year-old. "He is one of the best players in the world.
"We're still learning to play without Philippe. But the sooner we can have him back, the better."
