Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has demanded his team-mates do not lose focus in their Premier League title challenge.
The Reds, who sit level on points with Chelsea at the top of the table, were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw with Fulham at Anfield on Saturday as they bid to end an 18-year league title drought.
Manager Rafa Benitez has admitted his frustration with the stalemate as his side failed to seize the opportunity to open breathing space at the summit after Chelsea drew with Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.
But Carragher - who captained Liverpool at the weekend in the injury-enforced absence of Steven Gerrard - insists that his club colleagues cannot afford to allow disappointment to linger ahead of next Monday's home meeting with West Ham.
Tough
"Of course you want to win these games but when it doesn't happen you can't afford to get too downhearted because it's a tough league and I'm sure there are going to be plenty of games like that between now and next May," Carragher told the club's
official website.
"Against Fulham obviously we haven't hit the heights that we did do earlier in the season and to be perfectly honest they played well and I wouldn't say we deserved to win because I suppose they could have nicked one as well because they were quite lively on the break.
"That's been the case ever since I've been in the team. Pretty much every team that comes to Anfield plays counter-attacking football and we can't complain about that.
"We've just got to adapt to it and overcome it because if we want to challenge for the title that is something we're going to have to do."

Benitez's side have an immediate opportunity to rid themselves of the memory the weekend when Marseille arrive at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
Five-time European Cup winners Liverpool can book a place in this season's last 16 with a positive result and ahead of Wednesday's meeting, full-back Alvaro Arbeloa expects a response.
"It (the Fulham draw) was very frustrating," added the Spanish defender.
"We now need to turn attention to the Champions League. We need to make sure we put this behind us by beating Marseille so that we qualify for the next round."
Meanwhile, reports in Spain suggest Athletic Bilbao want to agree a loan deal for defender Mikel San Jose Dominguez, who joined Liverpool from the Primera Liga outfit in July 2007.
