Liverpool goalkeeper believes FA Cup clash is most important

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina feels their FA Cup quarter-final clash with Stoke City on Sunday can be regarded as the club's most important game this season. The Reds secured bragging rights on Merseyside against Everton in midweek thanks to Steven Gerrard's devastating hat-trick at Anfield. Kenny Daglish's side have already swelled the trophy cabinet this season courtesy of their Carling Cup shoot-out win over Cardiff City. Despite the big games Liverpool have already played, Reina feels their head-to-head clash with the Potters comes out on top.

Important

"Sunday's game is perhaps the most important game of the season for us," he told the Liverpool Echo. "It will be a cup final for us. "It is another opportunity for us to get back to Wembley, and that means a lot for us and for the club. "To take one step closer to a trophy is an opportunity for us. "We have to play our best, and playing at Anfield is something we can take confidence from."
