Arsenal boss tips Croatian for greatness

Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva is destined for greatness. The Croatian joined The Gunners from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer but initially had few opportunities to impress, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin van Persie ahead of him in the pecking order. However, Eduardo has started regularly in recent weeks and has caught the eye with his deadly finishing. "He has started 14 games and scored 11 goals. What else can you want from a striker?" Wenger told Sky Sports News. Wenger has also been pleased with Eduardo's general play and feels he has silenced any doubters who questioned whether he would be able to succeed in the Premier League. "His finishing has always been top class but I believe at the moment his contribution overall is much stronger," said the Arsenal boss. "We have the player I expected when we bought him. Asked if he thought Eduardo was destined for greatness, Wenger replied: "I believe so. I believe this boy has something special and is starting to show it. "He is convincing everyone now and has been rewarded by being voted player of December by our fans, which is a big encouragement."
