French starlet commits to capital stay

Armand Traore has pledged his long-term future to Arsenal after signing a new contract at Emirates Stadium. The attacking left-back, who can also operate in midfield, is highly regarded by Arsene Wenger and has been hailed as one of the club's most promising young players. Wenger has bedded Traore into his first team ranks via the Carling Cup, with the player having missed just one game in the competition as Arsenal reached the final in the 2006/07 campaign. Since joining the club as a scholar in 2006, Traore has gone on to make 18 first team appearances, including three Premier League and two UEFA Champions League starts. Traore is a regular with the France Under 19 side and is mooted as a possible full international in the future.
