Wenger - No bids for Hoyte

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have yet to receive any formal offers for Boro target Justin Hoyte.

But Arsenal boss confirms there is interest in full-back

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have yet to receive any formal offers for Justin Hoyte, but acknowledged there is interest in the full-back. Hoyte has been linked with a £3million move to Middlesbrough as Gareth Southgate searches for a replacement for Luke Young. Southgate was keeping tight-lipped on reports he had bid for Hoyte, while Wenger has confirmed 'nothing concrete' has been received. "At the moment, he is with us and we have had no formal offer from anybody," Wenger told the club's official website. "There is interest here and there, but nothing concrete."

Youngsters on the move

Meanwhile, the Arsenal manager admits he may allow several younger members of his squad to leave Emirates Stadium on loan before the transfer window closes. He added: "I may let one or two go on loan because they need to play. "It is part of their education. It is not especially to get Premiership experience, but to play in the first team every week with that pressure. "Then, when we feel they are ready to integrate in the first team, they come back."
