Arsenal keeper still learning his trade

Lukasz Fabianski insists he has no problem with playing back-up to Manuel Almunia at Arsenal. The youngster has been unable to oust the Spanish shot-stopper this season, settling for his usual spot among the Gunners' youthful Carling Cup side. Despite his limited action in England he continues to be selected for international duty with Poland and is currently preparing for a World Cup qualifier against Czech Republic on Saturday. The 23-year-old admits he would prefer to feature regularly for club and country, but is happy to bide his time on both levels.

Improving

"I am not complaining at all," he told MF DNES. "Arsenal are a fantastic club and I have been learning a lot. "Unfortunately I have not managed to become first-choice keeper yet and for a goalkeeper it is important to play often. But I am happy for every chance I get. "I have been fighting hard and becoming better with every single game."
Blow
Meanwhile, Fabianski is hoping Tomas Rosicky will be back in action for Arsenal in the near future. The Czech Republic international has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in January, a problem which required surgery over the summer. "He continues to train alone at the moment," added Fabianski. "That has been going on for a long time now. "I hoped we would meet each other at international level this weekend, but that is not going to happen. "I am very sorry for him. He loves football and Arsenal have missed him."
