Former Arsenal striker Jay Bothroyd has admitted that he would love to grab a goal against his old club on Monday.
Bothroyd represented Arsenal at youth level, before embarking on a career that has already seen him run out in the colours of eight different teams.
Cardiff are the most recent of those employers, and the magic of the FA Cup has already granted Bothroyd a chance to score against the club he left nearly a decade ago.
The former-Perugia man could not deliver on that occasion, but a second bite at the cherry at Arsenal's ground may just prove even sweeter.
"It would definitely be great to score against my old team at the Emirates," he told the Cardiff's
official website.
"I have not played at the Emirates yet and I would like to go there and score in front of the Cardiff fans and the Arsenal fans as well as my family and friends."
Settled
At just 26, Bothroyd has experienced a journeyed career so far, but the striker finally believes that he may have found his home in the Welsh capital.
"Apart from Arsenal I have not enjoyed my football as I have here," he said of his brief time with The Bluebirds.
"The players and the fans are terrific. They have all made me feel really at home and hopefully my good form can continue."
