Birmingham City defender Martin Taylor is looking to move on from the last 12 months after seeing Eduardo make a successful Arsenal return.
Striker Eduardo suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle following a tackle from Taylor at St Andrews last February.
The Croatia international has since made a remarkable recovery and he netted a fitting brace on his return to action for the Gunners on Monday night.
Taylor is delighted to see Eduardo back playing again and is now hopeful he and his counterpart can move forward with their respective careers.
Guilt
He told
Sky Sports News: "It is fantastic to see him go out and score two goals in his first game back.
"It was surely a very difficult year for him to overcome a lot of things, mentally and physically. He has shown his strength to get back.
"Around the incident it was difficult for me. There was no guilt at the time. There was a lot of attention. I am not used to that sort of attention.
"It was a year ago now and hopefully I could put it behind me and hopefully everyone can look forward from now on."
Communication
Eduardo was recently quoted as insisting that he has still not heard from Taylor, but the Birmingham centre-back is adamant he did all he could to stay in touch.
He added: "Immediately I tried to go see him on the Saturday night at the hospital. But he was still in surgery.
"I went back on the Sunday morning and I was able to see him then with Arsenal representatives, which was good what with the language barrier.
"A lot of the correspondence I have had has been through an Arsenal liaison officer. I saw that as the channel to go through.
"I have sent messages to pass onto Eduardo to see how he is doing and to say that I am concerned."
