Dreossi meeting with Premier League clubs

Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi is understood to be in England holding transfer talks. Dreossi is meeting Portsmouth to primarily discuss a permanent deal for Djimi Traore - who has spent the last season on loan in Brittany. Even though Traore has recently picked up an ankle injury, Rennes are ready to push through their option on him. But Dreossi is also negotiating player sales, with John Mensah's future at the top of his agenda. Portsmouth are at the front of the queue for the Ghanaian ace and will use their meeting to talk to Dreossi about him also; indeed Traore could be used in a deal to land Mensah according to reports in France. Dreossi is also rumoured to be meeting Everton this week after they enquired about Cameroonian midfielder Stephane M'bia. The highly-rated 21-year-old has attracted attention from Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City in recent weeks, but it is Everton who are believed to have made an approach.
