Everton boss David Moyes expects to see even more improvement from his in-form side.

Moyes hopes to echo last season's top five quality

Everton boss David Moyes expects to see even more improvement from his side as he looks to cement their place at the business end of the table. The Toffees have won their last three games and are unbeaten in four, which has led to a huge upturn in morale and confidence. But, although openly impressed by the turnaround, Moyes does not want to see it end just yet as they prepare to take on Middlesbrough on Sunday. He said: "I am impressed, we are in a good league position and the players have performed really well in so far as we have got results and we have come back from behind in several games so that is good. "I would hope we would improve though. You always look to improve whether you are winning or not - you want to keep improving and overall we would like to ensure the performances get back to the ones from last season.

Self-belief

"I don't think we are too far away, we have started to get the results and that builds confidence and self-belief." Part of Everton's resurgence can be credited to their knack for scoring late goals to see off opponents. "I think a lot of goals in the Premier League are scored late on, we are beginning to score near the end but I don't think there is any one reason for that, but the group has got a lot fitter than they were in pre-season," said Moyes. "We look much fitter and we can talk about nearly having a full squad to pick from so I think that helps as well." Another significant key to the last two wins has been Louis Saha. The striker finally got his Everton account off the mark against Fulham then added a brace in the late crushing of West Ham United last week.
Star Saha
"I think he has proved before that he is a very good Premier League striker at both Fulham and Manchester United," Moyes added. "In the time that he has been here he has missed only one day and has been involved in all the training sessions, he's is starting to settle in and we are getting used to him as well so hopefully his goals will keep flowing. "I think everything has basically cleared up for him. He naturally keeps himself in shape and prepares properly so that is not a concern for him. "The match fitness, the regular playing and competing in training is all benefiting him now. "He has great ability with his feet, it is terrific what he can do with the ball and we have to learn to use that better. It is all going well at the moment and let's hope that carries on."
