Sky Sports understands Everton are set to win the race to sign Scotland international Steven Naismith.
West Ham United, Stoke City and Wigan Athletic are all understood to have made contact with the 25-year-old forward, however, David Moyes looks set to win the battle for his coveted signature.
Naismith has not played since last October when he damaged cruciate ligaments in his knee.
He is now believed to have undergone extensive medicals on Merseyside ahead of finalising a move to Goodison Park.
Naismith was one of the first players to confirm his departure from Rangers last month when he opted not to transfer his contract to the newco formed by Charles Green.
