Sky Sports News understands Bolton are in talks with Brazil star Denilson over a surprise move to the Reebok Stadium. Denilson is looking for a new club after being released by Palmeiras earlier this month and he revealed last week he was considering a return to Europe. The 31-year-old, who was once the most expensive player in the world when Real Betis paid a then-record £21.5million to sign him from Sao Paulo in 1998, admitted he had received offers from English clubs. It has now emerged that Bolton are one of the clubs chasing the World Cup winner's signature. The former Bordeaux wide-man is now believed to have travelled to England to open talks with Bolton and he is set to undergo a trial at the club. Bolton boss Gary Megson has not hidden his desire to add to his squad and he could see Denilson's signature as one that could add a bit of flair to his attack in the second half of the campaign. Meanwhile, Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has signed a new deal at the club. The Hungarian has inked a contract extension to keep him at the Reebok Stadium until 2011.
