Andersen signs short-term extension to stay at Memorial Stadium

Bristol Rovers have extended the loan deal of Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen until the end of January. Andersen has impressed during the first half of the campaign and Rovers hope to keep the Dane until the campaign's conclusion. However, with Reading currently without a manager, an interim deal has been agreed to allow Andersen to stay at the Memorial Stadium until 28th January. "I'm delighted to be staying here for another month, and in case anyone is wondering why it's only for another month at the moment, it's an interim arrangement because of the managerial situation at Reading," Andersen told the club's official website. "No one quite knows what's going to happen there with regard to a new appointment, so we'll see this month through and then, hopefully, extend the loan until the end of the season. "It was an easy decision for me to make and I didn't really have to think about it. "I just wanted it done and dusted and now I want to get on and play games for Rovers."
