Defender unsure if Reading will offer him a new contract

Julian Kelly is open to agreeing a permanent deal at Lincoln City if he is not offered a new contract by Reading. The defender has impressed since joining Lincoln on loan in January and has made 16 appearances for the League Two club. He is unsure if Reading have long-term plans for him and Kelly has revealed he would be prepared to discuss a return to Steve Tilson's side in the summer. "I am out of contract in the summer and Lincoln have already told me that I would be welcome back here if Reading do not offer me a contract," Kelly told the Lincolnshire Echo.

Happy

"They are a big club in League Two and I would be more than happy to come here because I do think they should be pushing to be much higher given the status the club has got. "The facilities are good, the gaffer is good and I would be more than happy to come here. At the minute I have no idea what Reading are thinking. "They just said to me 'keep playing', because last season I was out of nearly the whole of the campaign and I missed the start of this one too because of injury. "They are just looking at me to see if I can cope with all these injuries and once my loan finishes here, then I will know what is happening."
