Skysports.com understands Aruna Dindane and his advisors are travelling to France on Monday to try and resolve Lens' contract dispute with Portsmouth.
Dindane, who joined Pompey on loan from Lens at the start of the season, currently finds himself in limbo as one more appearance would trigger a £4million payment to his parent club.
Portsmouth and Dindane are keen to find a compromise so that the Ivory Coast ace can feature for the final three games of the Premier League season as well as the FA Cup final with Chelsea.
Dindane made his 21st appearance for Portsmouth in last weekend's FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham, but he has not featured in the last two games against Wigan and Aston Villa as another appearance would trigger the additional payment which Portsmouth are unable to afford.
Dindane is keen to be playing regularly ahead of this summer's World Cup finals and is hoping a deal can be reached with Lens to enable him to play for Portsmouth.
"It is true that I am travelling to France with my agent to try and agree a deal with Lens," Dindane told skysports.com.
"I hope something can be agreed as I just want to be playing football."
Dindane, who has one year left on his contract at Lens, is expected to move on this summer with a number of clubs trailing the 29-year-old hit-man.
Blackburn have confirmed their interest in Dindane with the player believed to have already undergone a medical at Ewood Park.
Newly-promoted Newcastle are also chasing Dindane as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season back in the Premier League.
Dindane is understood to be keen to sort out his future and find himself a new club before the World Cup gets underway in June.
