Mousa Dembele has been passed fit for Tottenham's trip to Watford after picking up a knock in the Boxing Day win over Norwich.

The midfielder, 28, was assessed by Spurs medical staff on Sunday after sufffering a blow to the same ankle that he injured earlier this month.

Dembele missed the home defeat to Newcastle on December 13 but returned for the win away at Southampton, but he was substituted for Nacer Chadli on 86 minutes at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

After Pochettino said "we'll assess Dembele and see if he is ready for Monday", the Belgium international is in contention to start at Vicarage Road.

Tottenham also have Ryan Mason back available but he was not selected for Saturday's match, which Spurs won 3-0 to maintain their top-four position.
