Radek Cerny has thanked Juande Ramos for giving him the goalkeeper's jersey in Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final.

Radek Cerny has expressed his gratitude towards Tottenham boss Juande Ramos after the Spaniard elected to field him over Paul Robinson in Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
The axing of England goalkeeper Robinson has cast serious doubts over his future at White Hart Lane, with Ramos thought to be sceptical over the player's capabilities.
Robinson has endured a season to forget in North London and widespread speculation has claimed his days in the capital could be numbered.
Cerny was given the nod for arguably Spurs' most important game of the season and the 33-year-old is grateful Ramos was prepared to make such a bold decision.

"I think that the coach gives chances to players with the best actual form," he told
CTK.
"To put an England goalkeeper on the bench was not an easy decision for him. I am glad I was given the chance to play."
Spurs have been linked with Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg but Cerny is reticent to be drawn on possible transfer targets and how they could affect his position.
"I have not heard about it," he claimed. "During the time the new coach has been here there have been about ten goalkeepers targeted.

"Most likely someone will come here but I am concentrating on my own performances."
Cerny's existing contract expires at the end of the season and while his playing time has been limited, he admits he is keen to win fresh terms.
"I have not had many chances and when I played during the autumn I did not have good performances.
"But if the extension came, of course I would be happy. We will see what happens in the future."
