Basel boss Thorsten Fink has denied that he has been approached by Wolfsburg regarding the vacant manager's position at the Volkswagen-Arena.
Pierre Littbarski is currently in caretaker charge of the Bundesliga club after Steve McClaren was sacked at the beginning of February.
Former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich midfielder Fink, 43, is thought to be on Wolfsburg's wanted list, but he insists that there has not been any contact.
He told Swiss newspaper
Blick: "I have not personally had any phone call from anyone from Wolfsburg.
"Of course, you are usually been told things by agents, agents who have the ambition to put you in line for some jobs elsewhere.

"In terms of me, this would be of no use as I am very happy being manager at Basel."
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg midfielder Thomas Kahlenberg has reportedly flown to England to undergo a trial with Blackburn Rovers
The Denmark international was excluded from Wolfsburg's squad in February after criticising caretaker manager Pierre Littbarski.
Kahlenberg is under contract with his current club until the summer of 2013, but his future looks bleak and he is therefore hoping to impress Blackburn.
The soon-to-be 28-year-old will spend time with the Premier League club this week, but any possible transfer would have to wait until the summer window.
