Blades fail in bid to have midfielder available

Sheffield United will be without midfielder Lee Williamson for this weekend's Yorkshire derby with Leeds United. The Blades submitted an appeal after the midfielder was sent off for a second time this season in last Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Watford. But the Football Association has confirmed the decision of referee Dean Whitestone will stand, meaning Williamson misses their next four games. Manager Micky Adams told the Sheffield Star: "Lee is going to miss four games. "The red card was not overturned but at least they (the FA) did not add an extra match." Darius Henderson was also sent off at Vicarage Road and will also be absent for the game at Leeds.
