Newcastle United are on the verge of completing the signing of Chancel Mbemba from Anderlecht.
The defender has arrived on Tyneside for a medical, with a fee of around £8m being agreed between the two clubs.
The Democratic Republic of Congo international will become Newcastle manager Steve McClaren’s third signing of the summer if the deal is completed.
The 20-year-old will join former team-mate Aleksandar Mitrovic at St James' Park, after he also signed from Anderlecht earlier this week.
