Joleon Lescott revealed the story behind the infamous tweeted photograph of an expensive car after Aston Villa were thrashed by Liverpool.
The former Villa defender drew ridicule from angry supporters after he posted a picture of a Mercedes in the aftermath of Villa's 6-0 thrashing by Liverpool in February 2016.
At the time, Lescott, claimed it was "accidental" and sent from his phone in his pocket while he was driving, and told Soccer AM that was still the case, and explained what happened in greater detail.
"My answer is not going to change," Lescott said. "That picture if from a young player at Aston Villa. He asked me should he be getting this car as his first car! It was one of them things."
