Striker Rolando Bianchi has expressed his delight with the start he has made to his Manchester City career and revealed how he would relish the chance to form a perfect partnership with fellow new signing Emile Mpenza.
City's £8.8million capture - the club's second highest in their history - has started three Premier League games this season after arriving at the City of Manchester Stadium in the summer from Reggina.
Whilst the 24-year-old may have been expecting to be the first choice striker this season, he accepts that it takes time to adjust to the English game and he is just happy to be part of a team which has made a good start to their Premier League campaign.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "This is an important time for us, one where we can create a platform for the rest of the season.
"We are still getting to know each other and the manager is still getting to know our strengths and weaknesses but we are playing good football that will only get better.
"I am enjoying the experience, the supporters are the best and they are behind me and that is important. They understand that here in England the game is more physical, there is more contact from defenders and I have had to change the way that I play."
City have been mainly playing with one up front this season with boss Sven Goran Eriksson using either Bianchi or Emile Mpenza as the lone striker; a tactic which has brought them four wins and two narrow defeats in the league.

Even though the Italian is content with this system, he has expressed a desire to form a partnership with his Belgian counterpart and thinks it would benefit the team as a whole.
He added: "Emile is a very good player. For me it is important to have another striker alongside me because Emile makes some great runs and I am then able to play further forward, operate in a more central role and have more opportunities on goal.
"We are a team that likes to pass the ball so good team work is vital and if myself or Emile plays as a lone striker more emphasis is put on that part of my game but I have done it many, many times in Italian football so I am comfortable with it.
"If you make the right decisions and have the right mental sharpness and eye for an opening you can be very successful in England, as well as in Italy, even playing on your own up front. You don't have to be scoring all the time to make a vital contribution to the side."
