Sven Goran Eriksson will be able to call on the services of Elano again when Manchester City face Bolton on Saturday.
The influential Brazilian has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem and without his creative influence City have only picked up one point from a possible six.
Elano has scored five goals so far this season and had helped fire the club into the top four. In his absence City now sit sixth in the Premier League and are in danger of slipping out of the European places.
Eriksson has reveled that Elano made the trip to White Hart Lane for the 2-1 defeat to Spurs on Sunday, but having now resumed full training he should be ready for a return against Gary Megson's side.
"Elano is almost sure to be fit for the Bolton game," the Swedish boss told the Manchester Evening News.
"The plan is that he will return to full training today (Tuesday)."
The defeat against Spurs ensured City have not won away from home since the opening day, but Eriksson believes that the club are heading in the right direction.
"We are a young team and I still see the future as being very bright," he said.
"The mentality is right and we are moving forward. The future is ours even if we did lose at Spurs.
"We had a lot of young players in the side who will all improve together as a group."
