City stars keep their focus

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart admits they are excited after closing the gap on Manchester United in the title race. Roberto Mancini's men capitalised on United's slip-up to Everton with a 2-0 win over Wolves to move within three points of the league leaders. City now have their fate back in their own hands ahead of next Monday's derby with United as the title race draws to a climax.

Focused

"We are really focused on finishing a very good season and we have given ourselves a really good chance here," Hart told Sky Sports 1HD: "Commiserations to Wolves going down today but we've done our job. "The odds are a lot better than they were at the start of the day. "We are excited, we feel ready, we are firing goals in." City's former Everton defender Joleon Lescott was happy to see his old side do City a favour. "We knew Wolves would give it 100 per cent," noted Lescott. "I'm a City player now and it was more important to get three points. "It was nice Everton took some points there (at Old Trafford) but we have to concentrate on our games."
