The 26-year-old Manchester City midfielder spent three years with the Gunners before making a £25million switch to the Etihad in 2011.
Victory over fourth-placed Arsenal will see Manuel Pellegrini's mean leapfrog Liverpool into second spot and have two games in hand over leaders Chelsea, who are in action at Crystal Palace.
France international Nasri insists he will not be distracted by any hostility from the home supporters and will just be concentrating on gaining maximum points.
"I don't expect to be welcomed with open arms by the crowd but hopefully that's because they were disappointed to see me leave and perhaps at some point they loved me," said the Frenchman.
"But when I am on the pitch I don't focus on the opposition fans, I am focused on doing my best for the team."
Nasri told the club's official website: "There are plenty of games left between now and the end of the season. I think it is too easy to say that one game will be crucial for the title.
"We know that if we win every game we will be champions, so every game is crucial for us."
