Middlesbrough full-back Justin Hoyte has ended the uncertainty about his future by signing a new two-year contract at The Riverside.

Full-back happy to resolve future and is looking forward to new season

Middlesbrough full-back Justin Hoyte has ended the uncertainty about his future by signing a new two-year contract at The Riverside. Hoyte has been training with Boro during pre-season after his previous contract expired earlier in the summer and he has now agreed to stay with the Championship club. The 27-year-old has made over 120 appearances for Boro since joining from Arsenal in 2008 and he is happy to have resolved his future. "It's great to get everything signed and now I can concentrate on the new season," Hoyte told the club's official website. "We have a lot of new faces and there is a great atmosphere in the dressing room. There is competition throughout the whole squad and that will drive everyone on to do well. "Middlesbrough is a fantastic club and I have really enjoyed my time here. The North East is now my second home and I feel very settled in the area. "I really believe we can make a strong challenge this season and I'm looking forward to playing my part." Manager Tony Mowbray added: "Justin has been training with us for a few weeks and he brings qualities to the squad, which is all about balance."
