Sky Bet Championship: Caretaker Mark Venus confirms he wants Middlesbrough job
Middlesbrough caretaker boss Mark Venus has confirmed for the first time that he wants the job on a permanent basis.

Venus was placed in interim control following the sacking of Tony Mowbray last month, and he has guided the club to a win, draw and a loss in his three games in charge.
Boro chairman Steve Gibson looks set to make his final decision over the international break, and Venus hopes he can land the role.
"Listen, the club can take as long as it likes," said Venus in the Northern Echo.
"If the club wants to give a permanent manager a job for X amount of time, then I think they have to take their time to find the right man for the job.
"The people who are doing that will do it in their own time. I am not going to tell them what to do. Why would I? I am pleased that I am getting a little shot at it. Obviously.
"I don't know anything. I don't know if I will find anything out.
"I know there is a two-week break, so it might give the club a chance to make some plans. I do want the job.
"I've not got a clue about my position but I can say that I'd like longer in the job, I can say that.
"Everyone has their opinion but I think the players have given me what I've asked for, they've worked hard in training and in matches and shown character to get back into the game like they did."
