With the end-of-season Football League awards ceremony having taken place on Sunday, we asked Ian Holloway for his Championship team of the season.

Brentford midfielder Alan Judge, Burnley striker Andre Gray and Fulham forward Ross McCormack were nominated for the Football League's Championship Player of the Year award - but did they make Ollie's team?

In addition to the individual awards, the Team of the Season featured 11 players from across the three Sky Bet Football League divisions recognised for their performances in the 2015/16 campaign.

Holloway has been up and down the country this season following the Sky Bet Football League closely as a football analyst for Sky Sports.

Here's a look at his best Championship XI...

GOALKEEPER: David Marshall (Cardiff)

Every time I've watched Marshall this season, he's been sensational. He kept Cardiff in the game against Bristol City, making four world-class saves.

His overall form, though, is one of the main reasons why Cardiff are where they are.

Special mention has to go to Dimi Konstantopoulos, too, who broke a club record at Middlesbrough for consecutive clean sheets. It was a tough call between the two, but Marshall just gets the nod as he's not been helped out by his defence this season.

RIGHT-BACK: Ahmed Elmohamady (Hull)

This was especially tough as both Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday) and Emilio Nsue (Middlesbrough) have been excellent, but I like my teams to attack and Elmohamady, who is more of a wing back, would fit brilliantly into the system I like to play.

CENTRE-BACK: Lewis Dunk (Brighton)

I've seen a lot of Dunk this season and he's impressed me. He's becoming an all-round fantastic centre-half who can do everything. He's improved greatly. Brighton are a much tighter unit when he's in the team.

CENTRE-BACK: Michael Keane (Burnley)

Much like Dunk, Keane looks as though he can handle anything thrown at him, even when he's left exposed by his full-backs.

These two centre-backs are both big threats from set-pieces, which is an added bonus. Michael Dawson and Ben Gibson, especially, are worth mentioning, too. Both have been superb.

LEFT-BACK: George Friend (Middlesbrough)

He's the best full-back in the league and deserves a chance to play at the top level. I love watching him play. He's so clever at making runs from deep, but also knows how to defend. He's a complete footballer.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Joey Barton (Burnley)

He'd be my captain. His experience and ability to inspire people around him has been the backbone of Burnley's success.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Dale Stephens (Brighton)

This was a close call between Stephens and his teammate Beram Kayal, but I've gone with the former as he offers more of a goal threat. He's been a bit of an unsung hero in the Brighton engine room.

Adam Clayton also deserves a mention. Once again, he's been fantastic for Middlesbrough.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER: Ross McCormack (Fulham)

He's the best player in the Football League. To score 21 goals for a team that have been fighting relegation says it all. He'd play just behind the striker in my team. The runs he makes are very clever and he has Premier League quality to win games in the final third.

WINGER: David Cotterill (Birmingham)

I love my widemen. This was a very tough call as Jordan Graham, Tom Ince, Matt Phillips, Jamie Murphy, Ross Wallace, Alan Judge, Kazenga LuaLuaChristian Stuani, Albert Adomah and Craig Noone have all had brilliant seasons and have plenty to offer. In a perfect world, I would love to rotate of all them. What a squad that would be!

I've gone for Cotterill as I wanted to get a Birmingham player into the team and he's been their driving force. He provides sensational delivery from wide areas. I can't believe I didn't sign him on a free when I was at Millwall.

WINGER: Scott Arfield (Burnley)

This lad is getting better every week. What stands him out above other widemen in the league is his work-rate. He doesn't stop running. You need players like that in your team. He's not as flamboyant with the ball as some players, but his finishing is top quality.

CENTRE-FORWARD: Andre Gray (Burnley)

It's impossible not to put the league's top scorer in. What a bargain at £9million he could turn out to be if Burnley go up. Considering this is just his second season at this level, he's been outstanding. It's great to see lads from the lower leagues making a name for themselves. All they need is a chance.

If Burnley get promoted, then I can see Gray scoring a lot next season too, much like Callum Wilson before injury struck.

Special mentions must also go to Sam Vokes and Clayton Donaldson, both of whom have provided a brilliant focal point in attack.
