Johnson excited by potential at Craven Cottage

Fulham's record signing Andy Johnson is confident the club can look towards the top half of the table this season. Last term, the Cottagers only just survived a brush with relegation, but have made a promising start to the new campaign with six points from four games. Johnson has started the last two matches after missing the beginning of the season through injury, although he is yet to open his account for the club. The England international is predicting a bright future under Roy Hodgson and believes there is plenty of quality in the Craven Cottage squad.

Massive club

"I see Fulham as a massive club," he said. "One that can achieve great things. They have been in the Premier League for a long time now. "The club are established at this level and there's real quality here, great footballers like Jimmy Bullard, Simon Davies and Danny Murphy. "The gaffer has brought in top players like Bobby Zamora and Zoltan Gera and we've already beaten Arsenal this season. "For the last couple of seasons the club have been looking behind them at the relegation places - but I really think we can look in the opposite direction this season."
