Reports suggest Wolves will sign Charlton striker

Alan Pardew admits striker Chris Iwelumo could follow Marcus Bent out of Charlton Athletic. Bent has agreed a deal with Cardiff City and is expected to sign a contract on Monday, subject to passing a medical. Addicks boss Pardew says other clubs are interested in Bent, although Cardiff are confident the deal will go through. Fellow forward Iwelumo is also poised to leave the Valley, with Pardew confirming clubs are keen on the 29-year-old.

Other players leaving

"Cardiff have expressed interest in Marcus, but at the moment he remains our player," said Pardew after Saturday's friendly win over Ebbsfleet. "There is interest in him from other clubs as well. "We have some players leaving this weekend. Chris (Iwelumo) is possibly leaving and so could Marcus Bent." Iwelumo scored 10 goals in 46 Championship appearances for Charlton last season after joining on a free transfer from Colchester United. He has been linked with local rivals Crystal Palace, but Sunday newspaper reports claim he is on his way to Wolves in a £1million deal.
