Sky sources understands West Ham have made a £28m bid for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi

West Ham have made a €35m bid for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, according to Sky sources.

The Hammers' offer was worth around £28.25m at 9am on Friday morning, although the amount may change as the exchange rate fluctuates following the Brexit vote which could put a number of potential moves in doubt.

Batshuayi is currently with the Belgium squad at Euro 2016 and has attracted interest from several top clubs in Europe after it was confirmed he will leave Marseille this summer.

Juventus are also believed to have made a lower bid for Batshuayi and he has also been on Tottenham's radar.

Batshuayi scored 24 goals for Marseille in Ligue 1 last season and is attracted by a move to the Premier League, but he said last month that he would not change clubs until after Euro 2016.

"I don't think about that, I prefer to concentrate 100 per cent on the Euros, then we will see what happens," Batshuayi told Sky Sports News HQ last month.

"Everybody likes the Premier League. It has a lot of spectacle, a lot of goals and many good players. It is natural that every good player is attracted by that league."
