Skysports.com understands Brighton are closing in on the signing of Watford winger Will Buckley.
Brighton have made Buckley one of their top targets this summer and had a bid for the player rejected last month.
The Championship new boys are believed to have come back with an improved offer as they look to land the 22-year-old.
Gus Poyet's side have stepped up their efforts with Elliott Bennett strongly linked with a move to Norwich and he sees Buckley as an ideal replacement.
Watford are reluctant to lose one of their key players, but it appears the former Rochdale man is on his way out of Vicarage Road.
