Striker set for pastures new in January
Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are chasing unsettled Swindon forward Leon Clarke.
Clarke is currently back at Swindon after a successful loan spell at Chesterfield, but the striker knows he has no future at the Country Ground following his bust-up with Paolo Di Canio.
Swindon are thought to be ready to offload the former Sheffield Wednesday man when the transfer window reopens next month and Clarke is set to have no shortage of admirers.
The 26-year-old scored nine in 16 appearances in all competitions for Chesterfield and his performances at the B2net Stadium have alerted a number of clubs to his availability in Janaury.
Chesterfield have already expressed an interest in bringing Clarke back to the club, while the likes of Championship duo Watford and Barnsley, League One hopefuls Huddersfield and League Two pair Crawley and Bradford are all thought to be interested in the striker.
